The present

Impoverished is my moment
A waif amongst times -
Who has borrowed from her sisters
all she possesses
Who suckles the saps of memories
at the breasts of yesterdays
Who drinks dews of hope
from the skies of the morrows.
Poor and empty is my moment

And rich is my moment
A queen amongst times -
Whom her sisters of yore
cleared her path
have paved her way before her
Whom all camels of past
laden joy and sorrow
converge at her well
And ships of future
are tethered and furnished
at her port.
Bustling and lordly
My moment
